We stopped into Vivienne Tam's boutique at the Roppongi Hills shopping center while we were in Tokyo recently. Tam's collection was rich with color and feminine with a seductive twist. She takes exotic eastern prints and combines them with western silhouettes; creating a truly unique label. Vivienne Tam was born in Canton, China and moved to Hong Kong in her childhood. She then moved to New York to pursue her fashion career, which is why she has a worldly perspective on culture through her surroundings. This has influenced her designs and collections in several ways and has made the Vivienne Tam fashion label truly global.

What caught our eye when we first stepped into the Vivienne Tam boutique in Tokyo were a shiny pair of black patent leather booties and a few silk red and pink embroidered dresses.

The booties were probably the sexiest shoes we've seen this season (retailing around $650). We haven't been able to find the pair online anywhere to show you, but here are a couple pairs that are similar to the shoes we spotted:

Alejandro Ingelmo - Wannabe Open Toe Booties

Boutique 9 "Adya" Patent Peeptoe Booties

The dresses are a little easier to find and you can try her online store if you're not near a boutique.

If you're ever in Tokyo stop by at the Vivienne Tam store in Roppongi Hills:

Roppongi Hills is a higher-end shopping center and you'll be able to find several luxury labels here. If you're looking for something trendier and at a lower price point be sure to check out Shibuya 109 and Laforet Harajuku.
