I was a waiter for a time in high school / early college, and I can confirm the rumors that waiters tend to dislike splitting checks on multiple cards. You've got customers telling you $10 on this card, $25 on that, etc. Granted, it's not *that* hard to do, but when it's busy and you've got five tables it's another thing to do when you don't need another thing to do.

It's also annoying for the customer - everyone deciding who owes what and on what card.

That's where designers Jung You Chul, Her Miran, Lee Chang Ho, Lee Kiho & Shin Youngmi come in. They came up with the piece of cake card reader to make splitting the bill a piece of cake.

Multiple reader slots to scan your individual cards, and you can itemize what items go to which card so there's no debates or arithmetic needed among friends.

And your waiter won't hate you.
