People Like Us - Spring / Summer 2008

In fashion, it's not unusual to hear designers boast about how their immaculately tailored tweed suits and wool coats are works of art for the bodies of women. But in streetwear? Not so much. Well, this is exactly what separates People Like Us from the rest of the pack.

People Like Us, who specialize in t-shirts and hoodies, pride themselves on making consistently well-made items with an artistic flair. Each limited-edition t-shirt is hand numbered and designed by an up-and-coming talent. In addition, every time you buy a tee you'll receive a profile and contact details of the designer who doodle on your shirt -- just in case you want to contact them.

But the warm customer service doesn't stop there: Every t-shirt comes in a reusable People Like Us Printed Library Bag, which includes a artist's card with a biography and contact details of the artist.  It also includes their thoughts about the design, two postcards by other artists in their collective, a few stickers, a toy, and a satchel of People Like Us Candy.

For Spring/Summer 2008, the colorful designs on the tees are nothing short of amazing. While I believe it's a bit of a stretch to call any t-shirt a "work of art," the pieces People Like Us have created are definitely pretty special.
