Before I discuss Proenza Schouler's latest collection, can we all give it up for the color purple?

They color of royalty was very present last season - most notably in the form of sleek and slick patent accessories - like in Mullberry's iconic 'Bayswater' tote. The color was so prevalent that many a Fashionista had declared it "played out"

A photographer at Getty even told the editors at Fashionista that if anyone wanted to have their picture taken at Fashion week, that better not show up in that yummy purple See by Chloe dress because the color was "so last season."

Anyways, no designer in New York got the memo - especially not the lovely duo who make up Proenza Schouler.
Their collection featured lush jewel toned hues of purple, blue, and emerald green which came in the form of slouchy wide-leg pants, contrasting pumps and tights, shifts, and jackets. There were also some delicious sequined cocktail dresses that caught my eye too.
