MAC Cosmetics and Mattel, creator of the Barbie, have teamed up to develop a limited edition color collection. Barbie Loves MAC's collection includes very bright plasticized colors in its palette. It reminds me of the 80's when loudness was the way to go. Big hair, bright makeup, and tight and shiny clothes all come to mind when I think of what the nightlife scene looked like in the 80's.

I'm actually very excited about this collection since most of us girls had a bunch of Barbie’s we collected growing up. I think it's the nostalgia that will make this collection successful since most of us can relate in some way. And the colors are enticing. Beauty trends for the past few years have been about being natural and you didn't see a lot of dramatic makeup out there. Barbie Loves MAC collection changes all of that this spring. I love bold colors and finally there is something out there that is truly playful just like Barbie was back in the day.
