Indie-hip hop group Hieroglyphics founded by Del Tha Funky Homosapien, has developed their own clothing line, also named Hieroglyphics.
Their designs are aimed at the young, urban, male, and consist of t-shirts and a line of denim, Hiero Jeans. The hiphop group is known for maintaining an old school hip hop look and attitude and has carried this on to their clothing line.
Owner and designer of Hiero, Casual, claims that the look of the line is reminiscent of the '90s, with sturdy loose fit jeans that don't 'drag'. The graphic tees, which come in a wide array of colors have the brands signature "Hiero face" graphics, essentially a straight mouthed, three eyed, smiley face. These are a hit among hip hop fans and indie graphic tee snobs.
Unlike many urban fashion lines with steep prices, Hieroglyphics stays affordable with t-shirts at only $20, and jeans at $58. The line was released in August and is available online. http://www.hieroglyphicsemporium.bigcartel.com/products
