The search for comfortable, classic, reasonably priced non tacky designer denim for men ends here. Original Penguin is a menswear line inspired by vintage styles. For their Fall/Holiday collection, Original Penguin has released a Premium Denim line.
This denim is available in two washes, Selvage and Khaki. Selvage is priced at $125 while Khaki is $98. Selvage has a simple trim along back pockets to dress up the jean which can easily be worn during the day, or with a jacket out at night. The Khaki is not traditional beige, it is Indigo dyed khaki. Original Penguin describes them to have the "relaxed look of a well worn pair of vintage jeans".
Good quality no frills denim from Original Penguin is more reliable then worn vintage denim, but maintains a vintage look and worn feel. Sizes are available from 30 to 38 and in inseam 30 and 32. To maintain an understated, classy, feel, unlike many designer brands, Penguin Original has a very subtle logo, embossed on a dark brown leather patch on the belt loop.
