Contrary to popular belief this summer's Warped Tour is not the first year that non rock acts have joined the bill. We sat down with Cisco Adler, son of Music legend Lou Adler, and his protégé Shwayze to discuss fashion, the Warped Tour, and their up and coming reality show for MTV, titled Buzzin'. It should be mentioned that Cisco is also a star in his own right, and frontman of the band Whitestarr. Here's what they had to say since the last time we spoke to them:
What's it like being on the Warped Tour?
Cisco: It's wonderful
Shwayze: The time of my life.
Cisco: I've never felt this way before in my life.
What is the crowd like? The show is more traditionally a rock and roll show right?
Cisco: Actually, over the years it has gotten a lot more diverse.
Does being on the road ever get taxing?
Shwayze: Not at all, this is actually the first stretch of the tour where we actually got to stay and not fly home.
Cisco: Yea I hate flying home, its better being on tour.
Shwayze: We'd rather be here.
So what kind of fan base have you guys been attracting? I'd imagine a ton of hot girls, and less guys, since you guys are pretty big heartthrobs?
Cisco: I think our fans are a lot of smart dudes... who like girls. Really a lot of like minded and chill people who like our music.
So have you guys come to like any new music since being on tour?
Shwayze: yea, there's Kate Perry, 3OH!3
Wait how do I spell that?
Cisco: 3OH!3, you got to check them out.
So you guys have a reality show coming out, who's idea was that and do you get to see a lot of other MTV stars?
Cisco: It just sort of came about, but yea, when we're in L.A. we do cause that's the land of reality [laughs].
Ok, finally, I already asked Shwayze this, but maybe it's changed, and I've yet to ask Cisco, what kinds of brands and trends are you currently rockin'?
Cisco: Let's see, what are we rocking... A bunch of Vans stuff, Steve Mondays Jeans with a hole in the butt.
Shwayze: A company called P.G. started sending us stuff so we wear it.
Cisco: Warren our tour manager started a clothing line called onelove 11 [one love two], it's in kitson. The most soft and comfortable thing you could feel on your body... besides my lips!
I'll be sure to quote you on that! [laughs]
Check Shwayze and Cisco Adler's debut music video 'Corona and Lime' on FN MTV this Friday.
