Online interactive t-shirt retailer Threadless has teamed up with The Lomographic Society International to offer a new design contest. Up for grabs is a full set of photo equipment, including the Lomo LC-A+ camera with LC-A+ wide-angle lens, the DianaF+ with fisheye lens, the world's first compact fisheye camera (Fisheye 2), 10 rolls of LomoX-Pro film, $2,000 cash, and more. So, what is lomography? The Lomographic Society International is dedicated to promoting experimental and creative analog photography. They're preserving the art of traditional (non-digital) photography with a contemporary edge, and, above all, promoting unique and rebellious photographic style.
Submissions don't have to be photographic, though. Below are the "10 Golden Rules of Lomography" -- pick your favorite and submit a design inspired by it!
1) Take your camera everywhere you go
2) Use it anytime - day or night
3)This is not an interference in your life, but a part of it
4) Try the shot from the hip
5) Approach the objects of your desire as close as possible
6) Don't think
7) Be fast
8) You don't have to know beforehand what you've captured
9) Afterwards either
10) Don't worry about any rules
