Electric Daisy Carnival returned to Los Angeles for its 13th year at the coliseum. The ever growing electronic music scene was captured with an array of artists and surprising guest appearances including Lil Jon performing with nearly everyone , Rivers Cuomo joining Steve Aoki for a new track and Duck Sauce performing with a giant inflatable duck. Will.i.am having his own, far too long set, really summed up how mainstream electronic music can get.

Neon clothing, tutus, and the Melbourne shuffle remained huge Los Angeles rave trends . The crowd varied from those hardly passing the 16 and over age limit to those who appeared to be chaperoning their teenagers.

Not uncommon for Los Angeles events, EDC did have its fair share of bum rushing. During Laidback Luke's set a group of concert goers rushed from the stadium seating into the coliseum floor which had been closed earlier in the night.

Thousands of fans gathered early to make it into the floor of the stadium before it reached capacity, which it is known to do every year. At that point, no one is granted access to the bottom of the stadium and can only occupy the seats.

With a lineup that varied from mellow but world renowned trance, to hard hitting head banging electro, to classic rave drum and bass, Electronic Daisy Carnival has something for everyone. It seemed as if most attendees stuck to a few stages rather then attempting to alternate between all five.

All performances were interactive including go-go dancers and performances of all types, really aiding in the carnival vibes for the festival. Top of the line lights, tv screen projections, scantily clad women dressed as clowns, and men on stilts walking around kept the energy up throughout djs sets.

As usual, any remix of Warp got the crowd going, and EDC gave djs the opportunity to appeal to new crowds by sampling from the newest hip hop phenomenon, Drake.

Personal favorites included Armand Van Helden for Friday and Boys Noize on Saturday, especially for his choice to drop Michael Jackson at the end of the event, his second year in a row at EDC honoring the late pop star.

My only legitimate complaint was the lack of cell phone reception. Electric Daisy Carnival 2010 had a fabulous lineup and unlike some festivals, organized stages and set times according to genre and popularity.
