We're not sneaker heads, we're not clubbers, we're not hardcore hip-hop heads, we're not flavor-of-the-month hipsters...but at the same time we do take a little from all of that to find the gems that truly deserve your time.

Ivy's natural eye for trends in fashion, music, and culture was honed to perfection in her years studying fashion at schools in Chicago and San Francisco. Her love for streetwear, underground culture, photography, and the online world was the inspiration behind launching a site that would encompass all of her interests. Ivy has worked at a number of companies in the online fashion media and editorial industry, working with everything from upscale fashion to independent labels to celebrity and entertainment. In addition to Grooveeffect, she currently manages the fashion, beauty, and shopping verticals at the top women-focused media company on the web.
Sean is a new media whiz with an expertise in all things web. Academia never agreed with him so he made the logical choice - move to San Francisco and enroll in film school. Luckily he was also a lifelong techie, which is quite a nice thing to be in SF, so it worked out well. Within a year of landing on the West coast he found his way into a successful tech start-up, and then made his way to a huge global ad agency. And this was before he had even finished school. In addition to Grooveeffect, today Sean has combined his creative and technical abilities to head up the digital group at a top boutique PR shop, and is a founding member of a sister agency the company launched in 2008.

Growing up in Los Angeles, Lina was involved in the rock scene as a journalist for about three years prior to working for Grooveeffect. Now focusing more on electronic music and the fashion associated with music culture, she contributes regularly to Grooveeffect and also has her own blog, www.linalovesit.com. Lina is also a sophomore at San Francisco State University studying Journalism and Humanities.
